Guided Trail Rides
Gibson Ranch offers guided trail rides for adults and children 8 years and over. The trail is approximately 4 miles long and takes around one hour to complete. The trail passes through some great scenery along Dry Creek and is a wonderful way to see the park. Our trail guides will be with you to ensure that your ride is safe and enjoyable. Please call the office number for reservations at (916) 991-7592. A credit card number will be required at the time of reservation. You may cancel your reservation by 8 AM the day of your ride. Groups of 6 or more will be required to guarantee the reservation 24 hours in advance. We are closed Monday and Tuesday. Trail rides are $32 for a 1 hour group ride, $48 for 1 1/2 hour group ride, and $45 for a 1 hour private ride. Sorry no double riding and no un-guided rides. All riders must wear close toed shoes. We have a rider's weight limit of 240 pounds because we love our horses and they have to work hard every day. Please read and fill out the Release of Liability form and bring it with you for your ride.
For those under 8 years old, we offer pony party packages, in the park. Ponies will be led by a parent of responsible adult in our arena. Please be sure to have enough eligible adults at the time of your reservation. All pony leaders must wear close toed shoes. 3 ponies for 1 hour are $165, and for 1/2 hour are $90.
